What is Kitty’s Cavern?
Kitty’s Cavern is an independent Smurf collector’s reference: figure identification, character guides and documented sold prices. The site is in preview, and guides and photographed checklists are added as they are checked.
Is Kitty’s Cavern affiliated with Peyo, IMPS or Schleich?
No. Kitty’s Cavern is an independent collector reference and is not affiliated with IMPS, Peyo or Schleich. Smurf names and characters belong to their respective rights holders.
Is this the original Kitty’s Cavern Smurf shop?
This domain previously hosted Kitty’s Cavern, a UK Smurf shop and later an identification guide. The current site is a new project. It is not run by the original shop and it does not sell figures.
Do you sell Smurf figures?
No. Kitty’s Cavern is a reference site and does not sell figures. If buying links are added to the guides, they will be clearly marked and explained on the affiliate disclosure page.
How do I identify my Smurf figure?
Start by turning it over and recording the marks under both feet exactly as you see them, including the maker, country and any year. Then match the pose, accessories and paint colours, comparing the whole figure and its marks together. The figure guide walks through these steps.
Are my old Smurfs worth anything?
It depends on the exact figure and variant, its maker marks and its condition. Compare it with sold examples of the same figure in similar condition, not with asking prices or mixed lots.
How are figure values worked out?
Values come from completed sales, not asking prices. Each range keeps US dollar and British pound sales separate and records the sample size and the date it was checked. The price method explains the full process.
Why don’t the guides show prices yet?
Price ranges are only published once the sales and the figure’s identity have been checked against a photographed example. Until then, the guides show what is still being prepared.
Where can I find every Smurf character?
The Smurf character list lists each character with a short introduction, and you can search it by name or filter it by group.
Can I send photos of my Smurfs?
Not yet. Contact details will be added before launch. Please do not send collection photographs or personal information until a contact address is available.
